The Flex Leave feature allows you to have more control over your non-statutory leave hours. You have an option to either buy extra leave hours or sell the ones you have.

If you decide to buy extra leave hours, the cost for these hours will be deducted from your holiday allowance or other budget sources available to you in the Alleo app. If you sell your leave hours, they will be subtracted from your non-statutory leave balance, and you'll receive payment for those hours as part of your gross salary.

Important points to keep in mind:

  • Each company sets its own rules and conditions. For more detailed information, go to the Alleo app, head to the Campus tab, select a Budget source and check the "How it Works" page along with your company's policy details there.

  • The processing time for the choices you make in the app differ per employer. This information will also typically be available in the 'How it works' section.

  • Your company might restrict the selling or buying of hours to certain periods. During periods when it's restricted, the option to buy or sell hours will be temporarily unavailable within the app.

Buying non-statutory leave hours

Example:

An employee with a gross hourly wage of €15 purchases 8 hours of leave from holiday allowance. 8 hours of leave * €15 = €120.

What happens next?

  1. €120 will be deducted from your gross holiday allowance reservation.

  2. 8 hours of leave are added to the balance of your non-statutory leave hours.

Selling non-statutory leave hours

Example:

An employee with a gross hourly wage of €18 sells 4 hours of leave.

4 hours of leave * €18 = €72.

What happens next?

  • €72 will be paid out to you as additional gross salary with with next month’s payroll run.

  • 4 hours of leave are deducted from your balance of non-statutory leave hours.
